Blue Beetle Trailer 2: Warner Bros. has released an electrifying new trailer for DC Studios' Blue Beetle, the film starring Xolo Maridueña as the superhero in his big-screen debut.
“Anything you can imagine, I can create it”. Warner Bros. has released the new trailer for the upcoming DC Universe film, which shows Xolo Maridueña's Jaime Reyes as he learns to use his new powers. Blue Beetle will be the first film set in the new DCU timeline, born from the events of The Flash (currently still in theaters).
The film – which marks the big screen debut of the DC superhero – is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings, The Farm) from a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (Miss Bala), based on DC characters.

In the film, recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future but soon discovers that he's not quite the way he left her. While searching the world for his purpose, fate causes Jaime to unexpectedly find himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. Jamie is suddenly chosen by the Beetle as his symbiotic host and gifted with incredible armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers. His fate will change forever and Jamie will transform into the Super Hero Blue Beetle.
Joining Maridueña (Cobra Kai) is Adriana Barraza (Rambo: Last Blood, Thor) as Jaime's grandmother, Nana, Damían Alcázar (Narcos) as his father, Raoul Max Trujillo (Sicario films, Mayans M.C.) as Carapax, with Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord and George Lopez as her uncle Rudy. Also starring Elpidia Carrillo as her mother, Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord, Belissa Escobedo as Jaime's sister Milagro, and Harvey Guillén as Dr. Sanchez.
