Transformers: Rise of The Beasts won the US Box Office on its opening weekend, while Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had to settle for second place.
Expected at the start as one of the most anticipated blockbusters of summer 2023, the new chapter in the Transformers saga grossed an estimated $60.5 million in the three American opening days, with an average per theater well over 16,000 dollars. This is a higher figure than the pre-weekend forecasts, which pointed to a range between 46 and 56 million.
Statistics in hand, the proceeds from Transformers – Rise of The Beasts is much higher than that achieved by Transformers – The Last Knight (44.6 million), and even almost three times higher than Bumblebee (37.5 million), a film that goes considered the previous chapter. Nevertheless, we are still a long way from the other chapters directed by Michael Bay between 2007 and 2014.
Abroad, the film raised 110 million dollars (with 40 million from China), for a total of 170.5 million in three days. Read our review of Transformers: Rise of The Beasts here.
