The Flash is the recent film directed by Andy Muschietti (The Mother, It) which brings back one of the most essential characters in the DC world or the speedster Barry Allen / Flash (who has the face of Ezra Miller) in a story that has traits in common with Marvel. For the first time, within a Detective Comics project, there is in fact talk of the Multiverse with the protagonist who, to save his mother in danger of death, totally messes up the Multiverse, going to create an alternative reality in which General Zod ( who has the face of Michael Shannon) managed to conquer the Earth in the absence of meta-humans.
The Flash sees Michael Keaton return as Batman
Just about Michael Shannon (who embodied Superman's nemesis for the first time in Man of Steel), specified in a recent interview for Collider that he doesn't particularly like stories about the Multiverse and that he loved the backstory of his character as it was built right inside Man of Steel.
"Yes. I'm not going to lie, he just wasn't satisfying enough for me as an actor. These Multiverse movies are like someone playing with action figures. It's like, 'Here's this person. Here is that person. And they're arguing!' It's not quite the in-depth character study situation I thought Man of Steel was. Whether people think he's crazy or not, I don't even care. I felt like Man of Steel was a pretty sophisticated story, it seems like The Flash is too, but it's not Zod's story. I'm basically there to present a challenge."
We remind you that The Flash, written in particular by Christina Hodson (Fast & Furious 11, Birds of Prey), arrives in Italian cinemas starting June 15, 2023, with distribution by Warner Bros. and an executive producer that involves, in detail, Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman, Marianne Jenkins.
