Special Ops: Lioness, the teaser trailer of the new Taylor Sheridan series with Zoe Saldaña

Paramount+ has released the first trailer and set the release date for the latest stellar project from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, the “Special Ops: Lioness” spy thriller series. Paramount+ today unveiled the teaser trailer and key art for the highly anticipated original series Special Ops: Lioness, which premieres Sunday, July 23 in Italy.

According to the official synopsis, the show "follows the life of Joe (Zoe Saldaña) as he tries to balance his personal and professional life as the CIA's spearhead in the war on terror." “The Lioness program, overseen by Kaitlyn Meade (Nicole Kidman) and Donald Westfield (Michael Kelly), enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) to go undercover alongside Joe among powerful state terrorism brokers. in the CIA's efforts to counter the forthcoming 9/11."

The TV series Special Ops: Lioness also stars Morgan Freeman, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Stephanie Nur, and Hannah Love Lanier. Saldaña revealed that Sheridan personally recruited her for the series. "She sent me a pilot that she wanted me to read, and if I answered right, she really wanted to continue writing this character around me," she told Vanity Fair. “When you get a call from someone like Taylor Sheridan… You work really hard.” Zoe Saldaña, fresh from the success of Avatar: The Way of Water and now in theaters with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
