Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the recent film that brings, for the last time, the legendary Indy to the cinematic world, with Harrison Ford (Blade Runner, Star Wars) marking his final adventure as the legendary adventurer wielding a whip. The project, which is directed by James Mangold (Logan – The Wolverine, Ford vs. Ferrari), was recently presented during an out-of-competition at the Cannes Film Festival and will soon be available in Italian cinemas.

While the feature film was actually received in a rather mixed and lukewarm way, both in terms of audiences and critics, one of the producers of the film, or rather Frank Marshall, during an interview for GamesRader, explored a concept interesting behind the work. We warn you that we are about to make some SPOILERS on the project so if you don't want to know anything about the film, we invite you not to continue.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be presented at the Taormina Film Fest at the end of June

Returning to us, Marshall explained how Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny manage to combine, thanks to the Dial of Destiny, the scientific world with the fantasy one.

“The Destiny Dial is perfect for us because the time has come. It's math and time. We always try to have some sort of archaeological connection and there was definitely this – there is a mythology in the Destiny Dial that exists. It turned out to be the perfect thing for this film. It works in the plot because it's scientific. Well, I guess it's scientific! It really works for what we're doing and makes for a lot of great plot points. The question is, if you can control the weather, like in Back to the Future, would that change that? And what would that mean? That's a big question for everyone, and it's certainly in the film."

We remind you that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is arriving in cinemas on June 30, 2023, with the production entrusted to Amblin Entertainment and Lucasfilm.
