The first trailer of Killers of the Flower Moon has been released, the new film by Oscar winner Martin Scorsese will have its world premiere on May 20 at the Cannes Film Festival. An all-star cast of Academy Award winners Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio leads a crime epic based on a true story: a sequence of brutal, mysterious murders known as the "Reign of Terror" that bloodied the Osage nation over the years. '20. Among the protagonists also Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, and Brendan Fraser.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the discovery of oil transformed the existence of the Osage who became immensely rich overnight. The sudden prosperity of these Native Americans attracted the interest of whites who began to manipulate, extort and deceive Osage property by deceit until they resorted to murder. Based on David Grann's acclaimed best-selling novel of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon is a story of love and betrayal set in a gripping plot to uncover the truth.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, and written by the same director together with Eric Roth (Dune, Forrest Gump), Killers of the Flower Moon is an Apple Studios, Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way production. The film will be released in Italian cinemas on 19 October by 01 Distribution, simultaneously with the worldwide release.
Director, screenwriter, actor, and producer, Martin Scorsese has always been associated with the Cannes Film Festival. He received the Palme d'Or in 1976 for Taxi Driver, presented in competition. Ten years later he returned as a guest at the French festival and participated in the official selection – winning the best director award – with Out of Hours. In 1998 Scorsese was the President of the Jury. Now he is expected on the Croisette together with the protagonists of his latest work.
