Other Marvel Studios productions have been affected by the ongoing strike of the Writers Guild of America, the union of Hollywood screenwriters. Marvel Studios has suspended production on the highly anticipated Thunderbolts film, which is due to begin shooting in three weeks, also in Atlanta.

Disney+'s upcoming Wonder Man television series has also reportedly halted production. A decision was made after the show's Los Angeles set was closed due to protesters. It seems that the crews of the series and the film expect to return to work as soon as possible, but only after the strike is over.

Among the Marvel projects already stopped due to the protests of the unions we find the film reboot of Blade. The production of Deadpool 3, whose filming should have started this week, has not been stopped at the moment.

Thunderbolts is based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name, an alliance of anti-heroes and villains who work - reluctantly - for the government. It is written by Lee Sung Jin and directed by Jake Schreier. Stellar cast includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as John Walker / US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Olgya Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, with Ayo Edebiri and Steven Yeun in currently unknown roles.
